Oui, oui, une glace sans sorbetière. À l'avocat, à la lime et au chile, saupoudrée de chocolat de l'Amérique du Sud.
Yes, yes, ice cream without an ice cream maker. Avocado, lime and chili, dusted with some South American chocolate.

Glace à l'avocat
Avocado Ice Cream

Ingrédients
  • zeste d'un citron vert | grated zest from one lime
  • jus d'un gros ou de 2 petits citrons verts | juice from one large or 2 small limes
  • chair écrasée de 2 avocats murs | mashed pulp from 2 ripe avocados
  • pincée de sel | pinch of salt
  • 1 litre de glace vanille de bonne qualité (j'ai utilisé Haagen Dazs, gousse de vanille) | 1 quart of premium quality vanilla ice cream (I used Haagen Dazs, vanilla bean)
  • 1/2 c. à café de poudre de chile ou de piment d'Espelette | 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Nota : Vous pourriez vouloir ajouter du sucre, au goût | You might want to add some sugar, to taste.

Méthode
  • mélanger tous les ingrédients dans un robot | mix all ingredients together in a food processor
  • dresser dans les plats de service couverts de film alimentaire et congeler | put in serving bowls covered with plastic wrap and freeze
  • servir saupoudré de chocolat râpé | serve with a dusting of freshly grated chocolate

I suggest that you put the ice cream in the containers you will be serving it, then to freeze it covered with plastic wrap so that the presentation is prettier. Keep in the freezer until you serve then grate some Mexican or South American chocolate on top. This dessert is all in subtle nuances.

Tout à fait dans mes goûts! Certainement aussi bon que beau. C'est piqué. Merci.

I would think the avocado would make the ice-cream very smooth and creamy...

I LOVE your idea of serving the ice-cream in a beautiful tea-cup!

Gorgeous! I also learned in cooking class that if you leave the pit with the avocado under the plastic wrap, it will keep the avocado greener for longer. I bet the same holds true with ice cream!
